Our Annual Performathon will be held on Saturday, May 2nd, 2026 at CMS!

Our annual PERFORMATHON is an all-day marathon student recital fund-raiser, where students from our 700+ student body raise sponsorships for their performance. All proceeds go towards providing merit and need-based scholarships, as well as free or discounted programming for our students and our community. This Year, we were able to award over $125,000 to CMS students who otherwise may not have been able to advance their love for music.  We would not be able to provide the nearly 50 free masterclasses, workshops, community events and recitals for our students and community without funds raised through Performathon!

We need your help to make this event a huge success! There are so many ways to get involved:

  • SPONSOR AN AD OR DONATE TO OUR BASKET RAFFLE by clicking here:Performathon 2026 Sponsor Donor Letter and Forms
  • PERFORM: Sign up to perform during one of the performance hours (sign-up at front desk binder), and raise at least $40 to sponsor your performance. All participating students will receive a thank you gift. Sign-up times are first come, first serve, so reserve your preferred hour before it fills. We have some great prizes for our top fundraisers! Including Disney Gift cards, Visa gift cards, a JBL speaker and even a FREE semester of private lessons!
  • DONATE: To donate, please click here. Please “Dedicate” the donation so it can be counted towards students funds raised.
  • RAFFLE BASKETS: Online form will be posted closer to the event. Drawing is Sat, May 11th!
  • VOLUNTEER or BAKE SALE: Help set up or clean up, staff events, or sell raffle tickets—there is so much to do on the day of the event, and we can use your help! We are also excepting donations for the bake sale! We are glad to sign off on student volunteer hours! Please complete form below.

FAQ about Performathon

What is Performathon? Performathon is the annual student fundraising event which includes a marathon student recital. This usually takes place one Saturday each spring from 9:00AM until 4:00PM. There are no lessons or classes scheduled that day to allow everyone an opportunity to participate.

Who Participates at Performathon? We would love to have every CMS student participate. Sign-up binder is at the front desk. The entire school works together during this day. Students are generally asked to raise at least $40.00 to sponsor their performance. Ask grandparents, teachers, friends from school and church – really anyone can help with this fundraiser! Who Benefits From Performathon? Everyone benefits from Performathon! The funds raised at this annual-student-fundraiser help offset the cost of programming at CMS, including tuition costs, scholarships, financial aid, student recitals, accompanist hours, ensembles, classes, and summer camps. Plus – students get the chance to perform in a fun and relaxed atmosphere!

Why Should We Participate in Performathon? CMS is a non-profit organization, providing a valuable service to the community. Funds raised at Performathon help the school continue its mission to provide quality music education programs, scholarship, financial aid and free community programming.

What Else Is There to Do At Performathon? There is so much to do at Performathon! Bake Sale, Refreshment Sales, Raffle Baskets, 50/50 and an Instrument Yard Sale!
