Tubachristmas is that special time of the year when persons who play the noblest of all instruments\, the tuba\, euphonium\, or baritone horn\, get together to play Christmas carols for the public. It happens across the nation from late November until Christmas. This event provides support to the Harvey Phillips Foundation’s mission to promote new works and compositions.\n\nDATE: Sunday\, December 1st\nPLACE: Community Music School (775 W. Main Street\, Trappe Pa 19426)\nREGISTRATION: 12:30 P.M\nREHEARSAL: 1-2:30PM\nPERFORMANCE: 3:00PM\nCOST: Registration $10.00\, includes Tubachristmas button. DESCRIPTION:Artist Statement: \nNicole McGonigal\, 32\, resides in Pennsylvania with her husband\, daughter\, and dog. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Penn State and Master’s Degree from Holy Family in Education. She is\, mostly\, a self- taught artist who started at a very young age perfecting her skills. Nicole started her journey with drawing pencils. She gradually moved to charcoal and acrylic paints. The artist enjoys reading\, going on adventures\, and spending time with her family. Nicole teaches drawing and painting classes virtually to students around the world. \nNicole’s main form of creating art is with acrylic paints and trash. She likes to use trash to create a textured base on her paintings. Once the trash is set she goes in with acrylics and various other art mediums to bring the piece to life. If she does not have trash as the base\, she likes to have an acrylic pour to add unpredictable movement to the backgrounds of her paintings. \nThe Gallery at CMS is open to visitors during normal business hours. \nPlease join us for the artist reception on Sunday\, Sept. 22nd 2-3pm \nior to our Jazz event.

Beginning students who can play through the Twinkle Variations from Suzuki Book 1 are welcome to attend the half-day session. Students in Suzuki Book 2 and above or equivalent are encouraged to attend the half- or full-day session. Vivace Camp helps students develop their musicianship skills and musical artistry. Activities include group classes\, ensembles and collaborative music making\, plus enrichment workshops. There will be a camp concert for family and friends on Friday of camp. Advancing students are encouraged to participate in the full day program while beginners are encouraged to participate as half day campers. \n\nPre-Requisite: One year of study
