SUMMARY:Sally Bishop Gallery Opening
DESCRIPTION:Please join us on Thursday\, September 18th at 11am before our Bach’s Lunch concert for a special opening reception for our new exhibit. Sally Bishop will be here to greet guests. Light refreshments will be served. Stay for the free Bach’s Lunch Concert at 12pm! Her install we be available all of September and October during normal business hours. \nSally Bishop is a local artist residing in Plymouth Meeting. She studied graphic design and art education at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. Sally has been a freelance graphic designer\, taught art classes\, and currently is painting and taking photographs. \nArtist Statement: \nWhen I go on a photography walk\, I look for something that catches my eye. It could be about color\, something unusual in the shapes of details or a feeling or mood from the scene. Whichever it is\, it has caused me to take a second look. In the process of looking closer\, I find something exceptional\, and I enjoy sharing what I have found with others. I encourage others to take a second look at what is around you. Many times\, we notice something as we move through our lives\, but do not take the time to look closer. When we look closer\, we can enjoy the moment and learn to see details\, color\, or invoke feelings from just looking. Sally regularly exhibits with Norristown Art League\, and Bucks County Arts Council and other local shows. She has received awards for her art and photography. Sally has presented a photography workshop entitled “A Second Look” discussing her approach to photo selection and how she uses her photos as a reference for painting.

DESCRIPTION:CMS proudly presents a FREE lunchtime concert series called “Bach’s Lunch”.  Join us on the third Thursday of each month and enjoy a mini concert featuring a different CMS faculty artist each month.
