SUMMARY:Artist Reception: Nicole McGonigal
DESCRIPTION:Artist Statement: \nNicole McGonigal\, 32\, resides in Pennsylvania with her husband\, daughter\, and dog. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Penn State and Master’s Degree from Holy Family in Education. She is\, mostly\, a self- taught artist who started at a very young age perfecting her skills. Nicole started her journey with drawing pencils. She gradually moved to charcoal and acrylic paints. The artist enjoys reading\, going on adventures\, and spending time with her family. Nicole teaches drawing and painting classes virtually to students around the world. \nNicole’s main form of creating art is with acrylic paints and trash. She likes to use trash to create a textured base on her paintings. Once the trash is set she goes in with acrylics and various other art mediums to bring the piece to life. If she does not have trash as the base\, she likes to have an acrylic pour to add unpredictable movement to the backgrounds of her paintings. \nThe Gallery at CMS is open to visitors during normal business hours. \nPlease join us for the artist reception on Sunday\, Sept. 22nd 2-3pm \nior to our Jazz event.
