IN THE GALLERY AT CMS: "The Poetic Landscape in Oil"
From February 9, 2013 - March 9, 2013
An exhibit by John Pompeo of Phoenixville, PA
As is the custom with "A Little Night Music" concerts, each evening begins at 7PM with the opening reception of a new exhibit in The Gallery at CMS. The featured visual artist will be Phoenixville resident John Pompeo exhibiting artworks in a show titled "The Poetic Landscape in Oil". John Pompeo is self-taught oil painter who lives in awe of the innate beauty of nature. Amidst an atmosphere of ever-shrinking attention spans and a new-found awareness of the fragility of our environment, his work invites people to slow down for a few moments and feel a peaceful connection to the Earth. It is this sense of calm and stillness that first attracts him to his subject matter and that he would like to share with the viewer.
A single ticket is offered at no charge to minor students enrolled in private instruction at Community Music School and to members of the CMS faculty.
