Tom Keiser, saxophone

Tom is a native of the Perkiomen Valley area and an alumnus of Community Music School. He graduated from West Chester University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in music education and a minor in jazz studies.  While studying at WCU, Tom performed with many ensembles including the Symphonic Band, Marching Band, Statesmen Jazz Ensemble as well as many small jazz groups.  Tom currently works with the Hatboro-Horsham Marching Unit as their woodwind technician. Tom joined the CMS winds faculty in 2011.

Ingrid Zepp, clarinet & bass clarinet

Ingrid has more than 20 years' teaching and orchestral experience on both clarinet and bass clarinet. She earned a Bachelor's degree in music performance from the University of Georgia. She has performed with a number of orchestras in the Southeast as well as in the Philadelphia area, including the Augusta (GA) Symphony Orchestra, the Augusta Opera Company, the Macon (GA) Symphony Orchestra, and the Lansdowne Symphony Orchestra. Ingrid enjoys teaching both beginning and more advanced students and a number of her students have chosen to continue their musical studies at the university level.

Patricia Ahmad, flute

Patricia is a flutist and teaching artist with more than 25 years’ experience working with students of all ages and abilities – from beginner through college level and beyond.  Patricia has taught flute at Immaculata College, University of North Texas, Germantown Academy, Episcopal Academy and Settlement Music School.  Patricia holds a MM in flute performance from University of North Texas and studied with John Krell (Philadelphia Orchestra, retired). In addition, many of Patricia’s flute students have participated in District, Region and State Band and Orchestra over the past 15 years – including five 1st chairs at States!  Her students have gone on to attend Eastman School of Music, New England Conservatory, Temple University and other fine college music programs.  Her students have also auditioned and won seats with the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra, Delaware & Chester Co. Youth Orchestras and Governor’s School for the Arts.

 

Lori Marino, bassoon

Lori holds degrees from University of Maryland and Duquesne University where she studied with Leonard Sharrow, Ken Pasmanick and Carlton Jones.  As a member of the Atlantic Winds she was a winner of the 1996 and 1997 Baltimore Chamber Music Awards and the founder of the Chesapeake Chamber Players.  Lori is an active freelancer and has performed with the National Symphony, Pittsburgh Symphony, Baltimore Opera and the Wolftrap Orchestra as well as many local orchestras and chamber music groups.  Lori is also on the faculty at Eastern University and Philadelphia Biblical University.

 

David Sayers, saxophone & clarinet

Dave received a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of South Florida He also continued he studies with additional Graduate studies at the University of Michigan.  His primary saxophone teachers are Donald Sinta (University of Michigan) and Arthur Woodbury (University of South Florida).  Other teachers include Dave Liebman and Joe Lovano. He also studied music composition with Nicholas Thorne (University of Michigan) and Andrea Clearfield ( University of the Arts). As a performer he has been heard in performance with the Florida Orchestra, Flint Symphony Ann Arbor Symphony, Chubby Checker, Ella Fitzgerald and The Temptations.  While in Michigan he played with his own groups in area Jazz clubs including the Firefly Club, Bird of Paradise, and Bakers’ Keyboard Lounge.  Additional performance experience include appearances at the Flint Jazz Festival and the Detroit Jazz Festival (formerly known as the Montreux Detroit Jazz Festival). In the Philadelphia area he has been heard at Chris’ Jazz Cafe, Tritone Bar and Ortliebs Jazzhaus. Throughout his career he has remained an active educator.  His private studio consists of saxophone and clarinet students ranging in ages 10 to 40 years old.  Dave was the Jazz coordinator at Jackson Community College where he taught small Jazz Ensembles, conducted the Jazz Band and Jazz theory courses.  Other teaching experience as a private instructor includes positions at Settlement Music School, Ridely Music School and the Music Workshop.
