Little Night Music
A little music. A little art. A lot of culture.
Now in its third season, the A Little Night Music concert series offered by Community Music School (of Collegeville) presents both established and rising stars in the world of music. Each of the six concerts this season is paired with an opening exhibit in The Gallery at CMS that features the artworks of some of the regions most gifted visual artists.
Enjoy a sociable evening that begins with a wine and cheese gallery reception and ends with a performance of beautiful music in the 200-seat Ingrid Larsen Evans Hall at Community Music School.
2008-2009 Concert SEASON Schedule

The Peabody Trio

Since winning the prestigious Naumburg Chamber Music Award in 1989, THE PEABODY TRIO has established itself as an important presence in the chamber music world as vivid interpreters of the classics of the repertoire, advocates for new music, and dedicated teachers and mentors to a generation of young musicians. They bring to their music making what The Washington Post calls “the romantic fervor of the 20th century greats.”

Doug O’Connor, Saxophone *

Mr. O’Connor, a prize-winning concert saxophonist and winner of Astral Artists’ 2003 National Auditions has performed across Europe and the U.S., including appearances at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Carnegie Hall, and Philadelphia’s Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. He has been a soloist with the National Symphony Orchestra, and recently gave his New York recital debut in Merkin Concert Hall.

Bridget Kibbey, harp *

Lauren Curnow, soprano

Trained at the Juilliard School and Curtis Institute of Music, “talented and charismatic” lyric soprano Lauren Curnow has performed with the Philadelphia Opera Company and Chicago Lyric Opera Company.
